The laboratory was established in 2008. The purpose of its establishment is to provide students with the opportunity to practice in the laboratory environment for the Gynecology and Diseases Nursing course; to provide a suitable laboratory environment for the conduct of courses such as "Birth Preparation Class", "Family Counseling", "Infertility Nursing" to be carried out in the Department of Gynecology and Diseases Nursing; and to create opportunities for experimental studies to be carried out in the department. The clinical training after the professional skills laboratory practice enables the student to learn by practicing nursing clinical skills in real environments such as hospitals and family health centers. Experiences provided in professional skills laboratory practices, besides transferring theoretical knowledge to practice, increase the psychomotor development of the student and provide professional socialization. In the laboratories, there are three childbirth models (semi-simulation) and patient beds (3 units) that allow working on these models. In addition, newborn models (3 units), pelvis models (2 units), vulva models (3 units), milking pumps (3 units), aspirator devices (4 units), breast models (3 units),and a neonatal care bed with radiant heating are also available in the laboratory. There are baby beds (3 pieces), baby scales (3 pieces), monitors (3 pieces) and examination lamps (5 pieces). There are also other small tools and supplies and consumables used in the skills.
